James Smalls is an empowering community leader, philanthropist and global champion for S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts & mathematics). He has led international teams at Dell, NASA and HP Inc. including travel to France, Taiwan, China and India. Mr. Smalls has three patents granted by US Patent & Trademark Office.

His passion is to share his technical / global leadership experience to equip African Americans and Africans in K-12.

He has raised over $250K (cash / in-kind donations) as well as personally led / supported the following Texas-based, non-profit organizations: NSBE-Austin, NSBE-Houston,

NSBE Region 5 (TX, LA, AR, etc.), C..H.A.N.C.E. Global Initiative (Kenya), Texas Black Expo’s Aspire Camp (Houston), STEAMvention Foundation (Ghana) and sponsored three scholarships.

Last, but not least, he is an Elder at the R.O.C.K. World Outreach International Church (headquarters in Houston, TX) and has supported projects / ministry in USA, Kenya, South Africa, Cameroon, Philippines and Israel.
