Jerome D. Love

From a small Louisiana farm town to founder of one of America’s largest business expo’s, Jerome D. Love is a prominent, serial entrepreneur and community leader who is best known as the founder of Texas Black Expo (TBE), a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing economic opportunities for African Americans in Texas. Love is also the owner of several businesses primarily in the real estate industry including CSAH Investments, JDL Investments, JDL Homes, JDL Educational Consulting, LHS Realty Group and Uncle John D. With nearly 25 years of experience in the business world and a passion for uplifting and supporting underrepresented communities, Love has made a significant impact on the lives of many through his work.

Born in Louisiana and raised in Texas, Love has always had a strong connection to his community and a deep commitment to advocating for the rights of African Americans. His desire to create a platform for African Americans to showcase their talents, businesses, and contributions to society led him to found Texas Black Expo in 2002.

Since its inception, Texas Black Expo has become one of the largest and most influential African American events in the state, attracting thousands of attendees each year. The organization provides a space for African American businesses and entrepreneurs to connect with potential customers, partners, and investors, and it offers a wide range of workshops, seminars, and networking opportunities designed to help its members succeed and thrive.

Under the TBE umbrella, Love created the We All Eat program in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We All Eat provided 714,000 meals to families in need and helped keep open dozens of local restaurants in Fort Bend County, Texas, through a $12.6 million grant. And garnered national attention being named Fast Company Magazine’s World Changing Idea of 2021 and he has featured on The REAL Daytime Talkshow.

In addition to his work with Texas Black Expo, Love is a sought-after motivational speaker, leadership consultant and mentor. He was hand selected by former Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa to speak at the Los Angeles Mayor’s Economic Development Summit and has been featured on major platforms including the New Mexico State Leadership Conference among others. Love is the author of four books on leadership and wealth building, the host of the Black Money Tree podcast, and he has received numerous awards and accolades for his contributions to the African American community. He has been published nationally and internationally, including as a contributor to Black Enterprise, the premier publication for African American businesses.

Love is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. When he is not serving the community, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, volunteering as a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, and working as a member of the church The Reflections of Christ Kingdom World Outreach International.

Despite his busy schedule and the demands of running a successful non-profit organization and several businesses, Love remains dedicated to his mission of empowering and supporting the African American community. Through his unwavering commitment and hard work, he has made a lasting impact on the lives of many, and his legacy will continue to inspire and uplift future generations.
